According to Nasreddin Tusi:
- there is no simple object on the ground;
- there is a closeness between the complex substances that form the basis of nature;
- in each of the four elements, matter and form took up abode;
- these substances are present in each element and form a unity.
The philosopher states that if this unity is abolished, the object will be destroyed, and a new object will be established in its place.
