At the end of the 14th century, I.Nasimi was in contact with organizations with a “hurufi” ideology that were widespread in the territory of present-day Azerbaijan. The philosopher-poet has mastered the philosophical teachings of Fazlullah Naimi, the founder of the “hurufi” ideology.
After that, Nasimi started promoting the ideas of the mentioned school in his poems.
Thus, Seyid Ali took the pseudonym "Nasimi", which sounds harmoniously with the pseudonym of his master Naimi.
