Authorities
Regarding electing and appointing
people to positions of authority, the Holy Quran says:
"Allah commands you to make
over trusts (or positions of trust and authority) to those worthy of
them."
(Holy
Quran: 4:58)
Some other principles are as
follows:
"Obey Allah and obey the
Messenger and those in authority from among you; then if you quarrel about
anything (with your authorities) refer it to Allah and the Messenger"
(Holy
Quran: 4:59)
Author writes that, we should settle
the disagreement by means of the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet's example.
