Socrates believes that objects are of two kinds:

- eternal, uncreated;

- constantly arising, but never existing.

It is noted that those who are perceived by thought are the ones who always exist. According to the philosopher, on the other hand, those who are perceived not by the mind but by the senses arise and perish (disappear), in other words, they never really exist.
