A468.2

Continuation:

The concept of "Tao" is at the heart of Confucian philosophy.

This concept is found in bronze inscriptions before the philosopher, as well as in written sources after his time. Tao means to understand, to behave, to control.

In this sense, the Tao is presented as a way, a world view, which is recommended to be followed on both personal and collective levels. It includes values such as justice, sincerity, and elegance.

It is noted that the Tao prevents unseemly actions and ensures a healthy connection between people in mutual relationships. If the people have the Tao, they will be governed by beneficial laws, and the moral laws will work successfully in the society.
