Al-Tartusi indicated to a phenomenon which the contemporary
world has been facing.
On the one hand, in the national economic level economic backwardness
leads to:
o political
instability;
o poor national
defense;
o politico-economic
dominance of the super power.
On the other hand, economic power leads to:
o political strength;
o control;
o dominance;
o and external
security
of a nation.
