One of the major theoretical problems of philosophy related to cognition. It is believed that the concept of "cognitive theory" in philosophical science was first introduced by Scottish philosopher C.Ferrey in the middle of the nineteenth century.
When it comes to cognitive problems, the term of " Gnosiology" is the subject of the cognitive theory. Gnosiology ("study of knowledge"), the Greek term of 18th-century, is "the philosophy of knowledge and cognition" (gnosis– knowledge, logos– word, teaching).
