In philosophy, two types of mental outcome are distinguished:
inductive;
deductive.
In the inductive outcome the general conclusion is extracted from a few specifications. For example: The plant breathes. The animal breathes. The human breathes. Plants, animals, and human are living creatures. All living creatures breathe.
In the case of deductive outcome, the specific conclusion is extracted from general. For example: All living creatures breathe. The plant is living creature. The plant breathes.
